The 12th edition of The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) will be held at Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala in the South of India from 7th – 14th December 2007.

Competition section restricted to films produced or co-produced in Asia, Africa & Latin America between September 2006 & August 2007.

Other section includes world cinema, documentaries (in film formats), short fiction (in film formats), retrospectives, homage and tributes.

The jury headed by Czech director Jiri Menzel includes African actress Naky Sy Savanne, Polish playwright and producer Agnieszka Holland, Naseeruddin Shah, Iranian director Jafar Panahi, Shoaib Mansoor and Ousmane Sembene as members.
The best film will get Rs.10,00,000 (25,000 US $) as prize money and the Golden Pheasant award. Apart from awards for the best director and debutant director, audience poll awards will also be presented.

World cinema section will feature around sixty films from various countries around the globe.
