Hollyoaks Update - John Paul & Father Kieran?

This is only for those who follow Channel4’s soap Hollyoaks. Only when we thought the great storyline for John-Paul McQueen (played by James Sutton) had ended after the departure of Craig Dean (his so-called “straight” boyfriend), now we are given this storyline - John-Paul a.k.a JP with Father Kieran (played by Jake Hendriks - owhh he’s gorgeous!!!).

Just as I thought the storyline of a gay priest is controversial (now that I have heard Hollyoaks is going to be aired in the USA).

First looked like JP is going to get off well with Robin the bartender at The Dog but looks like he’s a jerk after all; stood JP up for another guy! And he gave JP a kiss in a toilet just to pissed Father Kieran off (The priest was just about to enter the toilet when he found them both talking).

This was the scene when Robin kissed JP infront of Father Kieran.

AND now, we had just found out that Father Kieran himself is infact - gay! It all came out (only to JP) when JP was pouring his heart out about being lonely and always ended up with a jerk! JP was telling Father Kieran (FK) how could FK understand how he feels when he’s not gay and never been in his situation!

Well, everything came out after that, FK told JP that he understood his situation because he feels lonely too (because he has taken vow of celibacy for he’s a priest) and that he’s also gay. Wow… shocking eh? BUT really I had an inclination that this is going to be the next storyline!

However after that JP had been such a jerk by forcing FK to come clean to Myra McQueen (JP’s mom) because he lives in their house at the moment!

Poor FK! He was torn in between - not sure whether to come clean or not - now that JP is probably going to tell everyone about him being gay!

Now FK had made a decision to find some other place to stay - anywhere but the McQueen’s household! JP was so harsh on FK saying that FK should tell all, being honest to himself etc..etc.. but FK told JP off by saying that he’s proud of being who he is (a priest) and that he’s not leading a double life because he’s celibate!

JP suddenly felt sorry for FK (perhaps as well felt how bad he treated FK) and asked him to stay… bless him! FK now agreed to stay longer in his house. After all, who’s JP going to watch the football with at home on the couch? On the couch together ehh?? ***sesuatuh!

Hmm..we’ll see how far their relationship will go. Will they be lovers or just good friends?

I must say, they are so cute together (if they are going to be at it!).
